Supporting Future Technologists: Bridging Classroom Learning and Industry Practice
At Team Power Solutions, supporting the next generation of Electrical Engineering Technologists is a long-term commitment. Our ongoing engagement with Saskatchewan Polytechnic reflects our focus on strengthening the connection between education and industry.
Many of our employees — including our founders — are graduates of Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and we value opportunities to stay connected with students as they prepare to enter the industry.
Last month, we participated in the Electrical Engineering Technology Capstone Presentation, where students showcased months of design, testing, and collaboration. Following the presentations, Team Power Solutions representative Tyler Astleford (Assistant Manager, Electrical Department) shared insights on industry trends, workplace expectations, safety, communication, and transitioning into the workforce.
The event was also especially meaningful for another TPS representative, Jordan Hinrichsen (Technical Representative), who first joined Team Power Solutions as a work term student while attending Saskatchewan Polytechnic. After graduating last April, Jordan has now transitioned into a full-time role with the company.
The level of engagement from students was outstanding, and we’re proud to continue supporting opportunities that help bridge the gap between the classroom and the field.
Thank you to Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Babith Varghese, faculty, and students for welcoming us to this year’s Capstone Presentation.
