Saskatoon Toastmasters - Early Risers

Another excellent meeting tonight with 9 members and a guest in attendance! We had 3 speeches, a full program, and still finished on time. 👏

Dave chaired the meeting and provided leadership as General Evaluator, while Natali led the speaking portion of the evening.

Ole gave an entertaining presentation comparing the benefits and challenges of hot tubs vs. saunas — with maintenance being the biggest difference (sauna definitely wins 😄). But the real question is: have you ever heard of a “sauna party”?

Ed and Lenny each presented Pathways speeches about mentoring. Ed shared stories from his experience as part of a clown unit, while Lenny spoke about the mentors who guided him during his tech startup journey.

Val kept everyone thinking and laughing as our Table Topics Master.

🏆 Awards of the evening:
• Table Topics — our guest, Sonali
• Best Speaker — Ole
• Best Evaluator — James

And the prestigious Bone Award went to Ole… because he didn’t get to wear it on Tuesday. 😂

One of James's hobbies that actually sometimes involves public speaking is
Japanese "taiko" drumming.

Fun to perform and sometimes requires spoken introductions.

Toastmasters skills in real life!

Big congratulations to our member, Mike McDonald officially leveling up!

Our guest, Noel, was asked to share his impressions after attending the meeting and impressively, he walked right up to the lectern and delivered his thoughts from there! Definitely future member material!
