KINDRED: Portraits of Mother Earth by Monika Kinner is on at the shop until June 27! Monika’s collection of thread paintings depict prairie flora in thread and fabric, in a variety of colours, textures, and compositions. Her recent work focuses intimately on ecology and her kinship to the natural world, while her practice has expanded to include alternative photographic processes, natural materials, poetry, and sound.

We have a new book at the shop, A Miserable Guide to Saskatoon 2! Written and illustrated by Marc Rousseau Comics, A Miserable Guide features comics, illustrations, and anecdotes about some of Saskatoon’s favourite stories and inside jokes, all while poking good hearted fun at the city for better or for worse. Find it in store and online!

We would like to give a very warm welcome to our newest working member, Bobbi Clackson-Walker! Bobbi is a mixed media printmaker and educator here in Saskatoon creating beautiful one-of-a-kind art pieces and regularly hosting workshops. Her work is colourful, textural, and full of dimension - just like her! You can find Bobbi and her sunny disposition at the shops on Tuesdays - be sure to say hello the next time you’re on Broadway!
