Our Indigenous Youth Music Camp Saskatoon is off to a fabulous start!

Day 1 in the books! Today the students made their personalized music camp banner, started songwriting, and got to know their instructors! We are looking forward to an amazing week!

Thanks again to our venue White Buffalo Youth Lodge for housing our program this week, and to Cherry Tree and Downie Wenjack Fund for helping fund this project!

We are so excited to be partnering with the White Buffalo Youth Lodge and the Cherry Tree Musical Fund to bring our first ever Saskatoon Indigenous Youth Music Camp to Saskatoon!

This is an opportunity for Indigenous Youth aged 11-18 to take part in learning guitar, ukulele, vocals and songwriting daily. Snacks and lunch will be provided, and the camp will be running 10 am - 4 pm daily, with breakfast being served at 9:30 am.

The location of this free camp is the White Buffalo Youth Lodge in Saskatoon at 602 20th St W, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0X7, and there will be student pick-up will be available so please note in the registration form if you need pick-up, and what the address is.

Are you a teacher or musician looking to expand your skill set and work in the beautiful town of La Ronge, Sk? Senator Myles Venne School (Grades 5-12) has an opening for a Music Instructor beginning Aug 31st 2026 - June 29th 2027.

We understand working away from home can be taxing, and this job position can be split between a few different people, with each person working a few months.

Well that’s a wrap! Thank you to everyone who participated in our La Ronge Youth Music Camp from June 29th - July 3rd 2026. There were classes in visual arts, fiddle, guitar, ukulele, piano, vocals, songwriting and more! At the end of the camp, participants performed what they learned at Napatak Ramble. Big thank you to Napatak Ramble and their crew for having the youth out to perform! Thank you to Senator Myles Venne School, the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and the Downie Wenjack Fund for making this camp possible.

We would like to thank our fantastic group of instructors including: Eliza Doyle, Graham Tilsley, Kiera Dall’Osto, Lj Tyson Kimbley, Mitchell Dureault, Musician, Raven Reid, Riley Burr, and Travis Williams and camp director Olivia Morelli. They helped create a safe and positive environment for the youth to learn.

Big thanks to our cook, our bus drivers, and the Senator Miles Venne School staff who made our camp run so smoothly. Special thanks to the community for welcoming us again this year, to the instructors for bringing talent and positive vibes, and to our funders who make this all possible!

Community Arts Mentorship is seeking a passionate and creative Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This remote position will be instrumental in enhancing our online presence and engaging with our community through innovative social media, marketing and communication strategies. Your efforts will support our mission to provide high-quality programming in remote and under-resourced communities.

This position works directly with the Managing Director to help create and manage content across multiple social media platforms. The social media coordinator will also communicate with media and develop strategies for marketing, sponsorship and communications for one of Saskatchewan’s most recognized arts mentorship brands.

Community Arts Mentorship Program is seeking applications for the position of Education Outreach Program Coordinator for a summer student position! Applicants must be under 30 years old before or on their first day of work on July 6th.

This 8 week job offers an opportunity to work with youth and artists in a professional capacity. Skills in organizing, timelines, budgets and spreadsheets would be an asset but is not required. This position will consist of coordinating programming, as well as assisting in research.

This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs and applicants must meet their eligibility criteria.
