We are so excited to finally share the images of our completed residential project! This has been a long time coming but we could not be more proud of the final result.

We have learned a lot tackling our first passive house project. It was a technically challenging build, in a new market (single-family homes). Although we may not build more single-family homes like this any time soon, we are excited to use what we learned for more high-performance projects in the commercial and multi-family space.

It was an eventful day yesterday as our high-performance home was shipped and craned into place in Aspen Ridge!

We could not be more excited to wrap up this project and be able to share the finished home. Stay tuned!

After a little break, we are picking up speed on our first 3twenty Living project again!

High-performance windows and doors have finally been installed, our super wall is done, drywall is in, and we are shipping it to site very soon!

While construction on our first passive house continues in our yard, the basement and foundation are starting to be formed and poured in Aspen Ridge!

Once our modules are near completion they will be transported and craned to site. Stay tuned to see the process!

Our team has been working hard getting the No.01 all taped up and airtight for our first baseline blower test! By doing a blower door test while still under construction, we can pinpoint any possible leakages and ensure our envelope is as airtight as possible.

One of the easiest ways to understand how a passive house works is to think of it like a thermos (or a 3twenty branded yeti)!

Passive houses are designed and built in a way that keeps the temperature inside the home constant. Just like how a vacuum sealed thermos will keep your drink at the perfect temperature, the airtight, super-insulated building envelope of a passive house helps maintain the perfect living temperature no matter the weather outside!

Our first passive house project has lots of fun design features like vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom and a butler's pantry in the kitchen! For this project it was important to us to build a house that is just as beautiful as it is energy efficient! 🌱

Passive houses not only save you money on energy bills, but they also help downsize your carbon footprint! In just one year, the greenhouse gas emission savings of our first passive house will be equal to 300 trees planted, 10,000 pounds fewer of coal burned, and 40,000 fewer kilometres driven! 🌱
