St. George Catholic Elementary School

June 21 is National Indigenous People’s Day in Canada.

Various classrooms did learning and teachings as well went for a Walk for Reconciliation.

The CSCC school year end event proved to be a huge hit, complete with pizza, Kona Ice, a book exchange, and tarmac games, resulting in a great night.

Mrs. Roberts' students had a memorable trip to Batoche.

Last week, our school community came together for our monthly assembly, where students were recognized for their respectful, responsible, and safe behaviour, and were rewarded with our Dragon coupons draw. A house league game was played to earn points. We acknowledged the outstanding contributions of our students, recognized the achievements of our track athletes, and passed George the dragon to the office for the month of June. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for George in June.

No school for elementary students in Saskatoon on Monday, June 8; it's a staff professional learning and development day.

Regularly scheduled classes resume Tuesday, June 9.

The grade 5/6 class is grateful to Samson LaMontagne for spending Monday afternoon with them. Students learned about michif language, playing spoons, jigging, and Metis ways of knowing.

Tuesday's grade 4 to 8 school track meet was a success. Luckily, the rain did stay away! Students participated in various events, including high jump, long jump, 100-200 &800m runs, ball throw, shot put and enjoying treats at the concession.

Thursday's liturgy for Catholic Education Day was led by the grade 2/3 class, who did an outstanding job. On Friday, we gathered as a school community to pray the rosary.

The Grade 8 class spent a beautiful day at Eagle Creek.
