The results of my first wood firing with the wonderful Wolverine wood fire group! These piece are inspired by medieval reliquaries, intended to hold sacred relics - the head and two arms (all that survived the 6 days in the kiln) are designed to hold external hard drives 😂. For this experiment I was grasping for what contemporary people consider equivalents to holy relics… open to other ideas though!

This fall I’m experiencing something new! I’m joining in the Wolverine wildfire kiln group. I’m learning lots as a novice ceramicist. This weekend is loading, next weekend firing!
