Here we are at Lois Nantais’s property working on a native plant garden deep in the back acreage, a beautiful spot!

We have our first two official pieces of merchandise! A ball cap and a boonie style hat. We started with a small batch but will order more from Team Outfitters if need be. Let us know if you are interested in one of these hats.

Our first Saturday sale of the year is tomorrow! Sale hours are 9am-3pm and we will be open these hours subsequent Saturdays.

Our special guest Larry Cornelis will be selling and signing his new book Sycamore Speaks from 9am-noon. Don’t miss your chance to meet Larry and get a book packed with his knowledge and passion for nature! He will also have his book Trees Forests and Nature for sale.

This weekend we did a little work for the Avian Rehabilitation Clinic as a warm up for the growing/planting season that is going to begin for us very soon. This flight cage is almost fully finished now and ready to be tested by bird patients in need of a secure space to gain strength for eventual release.

We’re pre gearing up for the season and River and Ruby are perusing our stock. Pre-orders are welcome. Spring is on its way!

The 2026 planting season is almost here! Our opening day will be Saturday April 25th 9am-3pm and we will be open subsequent Saturdays. We're going to have some special guests to help us kick things off on opening day:

Larry Cornelis will be selling and signing his new book Sycamore Speaks from 9am until noon. The book is non fiction and based on Larry's personal journey connecting with nature over his life. The Sycamore is used as an example to all things about trees and the life they support and our relationship with them both physically and spiritually. Those who have read it have described it as a wonderful mix of heart and science. I eagerly await receiving my book as Larry is an incredible source of knowledge and inspiration on the natural world!

Let me know if you would like a book and we will make sure Larry brings enough books. Sycamore Speaks sells for $35 and Larry will be accepting e-transfer, cheque, or cash. He is also the author of the book Trees, Forests and Nature. If anyone would like one of those let me know, it costs $60.

Also joining us will be the Avian Rehabilitation Clinic with a booth showcasing their work rehabilitating various bird species. Stop by to learn about birds and the hazards they face and what you can do to help.
