South Island Sound is a music production studio and sound design facility located on the beautiful island of Saltspring Island BC. Kirk has been an engineer, educator, composer/arranger and producer for over 20 years and is both a studio and live musician. I received a new Dachman U87 clone yesterday, gave it a few tests with my Neumann U89 and TLM 49 and it is pretty good! Great mic for voice overs, acoustic instruments etc.

Looking forward to another great year! I had some great sessions in 2022. Eric Pollins audio book, Zuckerzeit IX, Tim Brooks, Stephen Jeffery, Colleen Rennison, plus a Mercedes documentary commercials and many more! I’m looking forward to many more great projects this year! Cheers!
