New delivery to Eskasoni First Nation of a Wildland Unit manufactured by GTA Fleet Solutions, Toronto, Ontario. This unit is mounted on a Dodge Ram 3500 crew cab truck with compartments, CED Skid pumping unit with 300 gal water tank, 1 x 2 1/2 intake and 2 x 1 1/2 discharges with foam capability & 150' booster reel. Ideal for on road and off road wildland fires and emergency response.

Another Wildland Firefighting unit manufactured by GTA Fleet Solutions, Toronto, Ontario being delivered to Eskasoni First Nation, in Nova Scotia. Unit features CET 300 gal skid mounted unit (can be removed) with Honda pump, 2 1/2 fill, 2 x 1 1/2 discharge with Foam capability and 150 ft Hose reel. Ideal for both wildland and emergency response both on the road and off road. Also 12V electric winch and additional compartments and seating for 5.

Fire Rescue Atlantic is pleased to be part of the procurement of a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) compressor with the Eskasoni (NS) Fire Department. Pictured new unit with Left to Right: Eskasoni Firefighter, Doug Hamer & Bruce Langille, Fire Rescue Atlantic, Technician with Connors Diving installing the unit, Fire Chief Fred Sylliboy and Eskasoni firefighter. The unit will enhance operations in refilling SCBA cylinders, that formerly inolved a 3-4 hour round trip to accomplish remotely.
This purchase was part of an audit process conducted by Fire Rescue Atlantic at one of the Indigeneous Fire Departments in the Atlantic Region, recommending improvements to fire protection capabilities.
