Here, the future is being built: groundbreaking ceremony for the new Bécancour center

Last Thursday morning, despite the rain, smiles were present as the Laurentide Controls team, joined by Mrs Lucie Allard, Mayor of Bécancour, and Mr Francois St-Pierre, Project Manager for Groupe Construction Lavigne & Baril, symbolically turned the first shovel of earth on the site of the future service center in the heart of the Vallée de la Transition Énergétique, scheduled to open in autumn 2025.

A press conference followed in the afternoon, at the Auberge Godefroy in Bécancour, to share the news of the new center's upcoming opening with the dignitaries, partners, customers and media in attendance.

We are grateful for everyone's presence at this event, which enabled us to meet key partners and further connect with the Vallée de la transition énergétique community.

Laurentide Controls, the parent company of Atlantic Controls, is proud to announce the construction of a new facility in Bécancour, scheduled to open in the fall of 2025. This new facility will be an important step in Laurentide's commitment to support the growing needs of its industrial partners in the Vallée de la transition énergétique (VTE), and will offer essential services to local businesses, such as an assembly and repair shop, local industrial maintenance activities, valve and pump repair, as well as essential instrumentation support and electrical services.

We are proud of all the participants and finalists that demonstrated striking passion and innovative designs with the aim of building a better home, body or mind.

The National Indigenous Peoples Day is an occasion to learn more about and celebrate the heritage, cultural diversity and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Metis people.

At Atlantic Controls, one of our objectives this year, was to give visibility to indigenous artwork. As such, our offices now feature a land recognition certificate. We also have this painting that we were able to acquire following a fundraiser and that is displayed in our Kirkland office.

This past weekend was the 21st Annual Canadian Snow Golf Championship in Midland, New Brunswick, in support of Make-A-Wish Canada, New Brunswick. We were there with 2 teams, raising 1100$ toward the tournament's 30K goal. What a fun day for a great cause!
