The only reason we are open is because we have hired a tanker to collect all of our wash water so that nothing enters the sewer lines.

If everyone makes an huge effort to restrict water usage at home, hopefully we can all return to normal soon!

The Municipality is once again falling behind at the lift stations. Although conditions may appear normal at the surface, they are not; significant groundwater continues to enter the sanitary sewer system and is placing extreme pressure on municipal infrastructure.

Residents are asked to reduce water use wherever reasonably possible, including laundry, long showers, dishwashing, and other non-essential water use. We understand that conserving water is challenging, but every reduction helps prevent sewer backups and system failures.

Sump pumps and groundwater must not discharge into the sanitary sewer system. If your sump pump is connected to the sewer, disconnect and redirect it immediately to a location where the water cannot flow back into the sanitary sewer system.

Tomorrow morning at 8am we will open the Carwash again! Please be patient as its going to be busy. We will continue to run temporary reduced hours of 8-5 so we can monitor everything.

Our lift stations are still very much overwhelmed, and we need residents to ensure sump pumps discharge outside, not into the sanitary sewer system.

Every sump pump connected to the sanitary sewer adds unnecessary groundwater to an already overloaded wastewater system, increasing the risk of sewer backups and making it more difficult to keep the system operating.

If your sump pump is connected to the sanitary sewer, disconnect it immediately and ensure it discharges outside.

We’ve had the vacuum hoses left laying on the floor numerous times, which results in them being driven over and damaged.
These hoses are expensive to repair and replace, and damaged equipment affects everyone using the facility.
When you’re finished vacuuming, please hang the hose back up properly and keep it out of vehicle paths.
A little respect and care goes a long way in helping us keep the wash open, clean, and working properly for everyone.
