Life really does come full circle. Since stepping away from the shop full time, I’ve been preparing for a career in the fire service—and I’m proud to have completed my training with . The program pushed me to grow in resilience, professionalism, and discipline.

And now, I get to introduce you to Firemedix Engine 3. 🚒 This 1999 truck served its life on Vancouver Island before retirement, and it rolled into ProjectDetail in need of a refresh. We restored the paint with a correction, removed the old gold striping, wrapped the top half in black, added a new Firemedix branding package, and finished it with two coats of ceramic coating for long-term protection.

Engine 3 is ready to serve again—this time training future generations of firefighters. Thank you for everything you’ve taught me. Excited for what’s ahead in my journey with the fire service! 🔥

I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to all of my customers, friends, family, and the local car community for supporting ProjectDetail since 2007. As of today, ProjectDetail will be under new ownership and will be continued on by .projectdetail

This has been one of the hardest things for me step away from as I started this as a side business when I was 13. I’ve pridefully worked on every job big and small and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this journey. Running ProjectDetail has helped me grow in so many different ways and am forever thankful for the lessons learned, relationships built, and cool cars, boats, and planes we got to work on! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to chase a dream of mine and I hope to bump into you guys at the local meets and track days 👍🏻

We’ll never claim to be the best, but we’ll always put our full efforts into making each install as clean and seamless as possible. Whether you’re looking for a pre-cut ppf kit or a custom bulk install (as shown in this post) we have a package that suits you and your vehicle best.

Here we have a PTS Forest Green 992 GT3 that we bulk installed a full vehicle ultra ppf package on. Next post will show completed photos, but I just wanted to share the work we pour our heart and soul into.

We safely removed and reinstalled:
- rear quarter glass
- window trims
- door handles
- mirrors
- headlights & taillights
- side marker lights
- centrelock wheels
- emblems & badges

By disassembling the car we’re able to tuck the film into a non visible area and avoid unsightly lines and dirt adhering to the edge of the film.

Detailed photos of the result of our disassembly and full vehicle install. We doubled up the film on high impact areas to protect and preserve this vehicle for many years of worry free driving pleasure.

992 GT3 Touring PT II

A collection of progress and detail photos showing how seamless the installation is by removing things like headlights, door handles, trim pieces, etc. If our job is done right, the PPF should be nearly invisible.

We’re not a volume based shop, so yes these installations take longer than other shops. But I think the end result speaks for itself.

Brand new GT3 Touring came in for a full vehicle PPF package with added tear away (double layer) PPF pieces on high impact areas. Too many photos for one post, so I’ll break this down with the finer detail photos in the second post.

As most of our PPF installs go, our goal is for the PPF to be as seamless as possible. We went ahead and pulled headlights, taillights, side marker lights, emblems, wheels, door handles, quarter glass, and trim pieces. A little crazy, yes. But the end result is a fully tucked and seamless installation. We then finished this with our 6 year ceramic coating package on both paint and wheels/calipers.

This GT3 Touring is fully protected and ready for endless winding roads and smiles for miles! Thank you to our loyal customers for the endless support and keeping our dream alive 🙏🏻

Audi R8 came in for a facelift and makeover in Suntek Stealth PPF. In order to avoid seams revealing the gloss paint beneath the film, we had to do quite a bit of disassembly to do a custom bulk PPF installation.

We replaced the original chrome emblems with updated factory gloss black ones, replaced the front grille with an updated version, and wrapped the headlights in our lightest tinted PPF.

Extremely happy with how this R8 turned out, the stealth PPF completely changes the look and feel of the car while the black emblems, tinted headlights, and new grille help update the car’s appearance.

✈️One for the books!

Brand new Phenom 300E that had some holograms and paint defects (last two photos) we removed with our paint correction process. Once we were happy with the finish we applied MAX on all the painted surfaces and landing gears for a long lasting protective shine to keep this jet slick and easy to clean.

Incredibly proud of the team for holding it down at the shop while we perfected our first jet. What an experience and what a cool hangar to work out of. Definitely one for the books and hopefully many more to come!

RS6 in for a winter makeover ❄️

We winterized the RS6 with a snow tire package. Refinished the wheels from silver to high gloss black, and replaced all chrome emblems with gloss black ones. We completed the job with our Paint Enhancement detail before delivering the vehicle back.

Our most extensive and detailed full vehicle paint protection film install to date! We wanted this to come out as seamless as possible, so we went into the deep end of disassembly. We did the typical removal of headlights, taillights, marker lights, mirrors, and door handles. But what really set this job apart was the careful removal of the quarter glass and trim pieces. This allowed us to tuck the film behind the trim pieces for a nearly invisible PPF install. We doubled up on protection on the rear quarter and installed a second layer of film for the rear quarter impact area that seems to take quite a beating on these 991s.

In the end, the extra hours of disassembly paid off as the client was extremely happy with our PPF install on his new 991 C4 GTS! Thank you for always trusting us and continued support !

Post track day clean up for the track guru . We did a full vehicle PPF package on this as the owner planned to log a lot of track mileage. PPF has held up great and is doing a great job at preserving the original paint beneath it.
