We are occasionally asked where the completed sleeping mats go.... we have dedicated volunteers who transport the mats to Mississauga, where they are dropped off to Canadian Food for Children, and then the mats are shipped overseas to where they are needed the most.

The TSA Mat Group meets weekly, creating safe emergency sleeping mats which are shipped internationally to any country that has been impacted by weather or strife. At the moment, we are in need of the outside milkbags, as our supplies are running low.
This is an easy way to recycle, as the bags are not being thrown into the garbage, and the mats are helping others across the world.
There is a donation bin at Trinity-St. Andrew's (291 Plaunt St. S.) near our Thrift Shop - whether you have a few bags, or a bagful of bags, please consider dropping them off whenever the Shop is open, or drop them off at the Office during office hours.
If you would like to join our group, we meet every Wednesday afternoon at 1pm downstairs in Stewart Hall!

The TSA Mat Group is gearing up for another season of creating sleeping mats! The Group's first get-together is tomorrow (Wed. Sept. 10) at 1pm in Stewart Hall.

New to Renfrew? Looking for something different to do? Stop in Wednesday afternoons and learn how to weave squares for sleeping mats. The mats are then taken to Mississauga, and sent all over the world for emergency use. This group is open to everyone to attend.
