INTRODUCING OUR CULTURECAPITAL PLAYERS!

Tai Reign (they/them) is a Two-Spirit artist from Peepeekisis Cree Nation based in Regina,
Saskatchewan, Treaty 4 Territory. As a young artist they’ve used spoken word as an avenue
of self expression and discovery. Collaboration with artists from different disciplines has
helped them find a sense of connection and play from the art of storytelling. They have
performed across Canada and at the Voices of Today Youth Poetry Festival in Toronto. On
their artistic journey they’ve ventured into longer forms of storytelling; where they have
co-created and performed two devised theater productions, Lift/Break and The Rehearsal.
They continue creating with the community through writing and performance, focusing on
finding the human connection that art highlights

Raphaële Frigon is a journalist and artist based in Regina, Saskatchewan. Her artistic practice moves between performance, image-making, electronics, and community-based work. She is interested in the body, technology, and ecology. Her work has been presented at Htmlles Festival, Hold Fast, MUTEK, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Mois Multi, Pop Montréal, and in DIY and community contexts internationally.

INTRODUCING OUR CULTURECAPITAL PLAYERS !

Oz Weaver is the Executive Director of the Globe Theatre in Regina, co-leading the company alongside Artistic Director Jennifer Brewin as co-CEOs of the theatre company and venue. The Globe Theatre is currently celebrating its 60th anniversary alongside the unveiling of a $50 million renovation of its 68,000-square-foot home, featuring Canada’s only permanent theatre-in-the-round. The Globe is recognized for its commitment to producing high-quality Canadian theatre and championing local and national artists.

Oz’s leadership career began as co-founder and Executive Director of The Dietrich Group, an avant-garde interdisciplinary arts collective established alongside DA Hoskins in 2012. Under Oz’s leadership, the company evolved from a project-funded initiative into an internationally recognized arts organization with a substantial annual operating budget.

From 2019 to 2024, Oz held several administration and leadership roles with Just For Laughs, culminating as Executive Producer of the Just For Laughs Toronto Festival, helping lead one of North America’s largest comedy festivals through a period of major post-pandemic growth and expansion.

As theatre artist and lighting designer with more than two decades of experience, Oz has designed lighting for over 100 productions across Canada, collaborating with companies including Canadian Stage, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Tarragon Theatre, Young People’s Theatre, Western Canada Theatre, and the Citadel Theatre. Their artistic work has earned multiple award nominations and reflects a deep interest in the intersection of storytelling, movement, technology, and live performance.

Amber Phelps Bondaroff (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist, performer, musician, community organizer, mother and settler, living on Treaty 4 Territory (Regina) since 2012. They center relationships and care in their work and teaching across creative disciplines. Amber has worked as Programming Director at Neutral Ground, Artist-Run Centre (2017-2023) and is a co-founder of Swamp Fest, an annual, community centered music and arts festival. She received an MFA in Intermedia Arts from the University of Regina, in 2014 and a BFA in fine arts from NSCAD University, Halifax in 2007.
