🏀 Our Grade 5 & 6 Pool 1 Division wrapped up with a weekend full of jam-packed competition! The gyms were filled with family, friends, and some great basketball.

Huge congrats to our A-Side Champions – Saints & Scorpions and our B-Side Champions – Defenders & Cobras! Way to battle all weekend and finish strong.

Big Mike Martorana checking another one off the list! ✔️🏀

As our younger divisions wrap up their seasons, Michael “Big Mike” Martorana had the special opportunity to referee his final game of the season alongside his son, Aaron. Standing with the Referee-in-Chief(Brian), it was a proud moment and a memory they’ll both carry for years to come.

Best of luck to Big Mike as he continues crossing things off his list on the road to qualifying for the Guinness Book of World Records! 👏

This weekend our Grade 3 and 5/6 Pool 2 teams wrapped up their seasons! 🏀

So many steals, baskets, and high fives all weekend long. Huge congratulations to our A-Side Champions – the Buzzards and the Lions 🏆 and our B-Side Champions – the Stallions and the Jaguars!

Amazing effort, what a great way to finish the season!

Michael Martorana has been part of the Regina basketball community for over 50 years and reffing for more than THREE decades. He is going for the Guinness World Record for oldest active basketball official.

Steady, fair, and always there for the kids and the game. Legends don’t always wear jerseys… sometimes they carry a whistle. 💙
