The Exhibition Proposal Call for Fall 2026 is open until August 4th at 11:59 PM, all mediums WELCOME!

We encourage students, both new and experienced, who have not shown work in the gallery before to apply - solo, & group exhibition formats are welcome.

If the idea of submitting an exhibition proposal seems daunting, please feel free to reach out through email to us at the gallery for some help!

Please refer to the submission guidelines on the gallery website, fifthparallelgallery.com, and include all information outlined in the document.

Update: The gallery now requires all applicants who submit their proposals for the coming semester be prepared to exhibit their show within any given time within said semester.

Please email your proposals to [email protected] before the end of the day on August 4th for us to look at your proposal.

“Thank You for Your Energy” is a collection of interactive and multidisciplinary artworks that function as games for co-imagining resilient futures. The work in this exhibition has been developed over the past two years as part of Leah McInnis’ research-creation PhD project at the University of Regina. Come see the show, build a new world, write a new story, set your intentions, and find your way through the labyrinth.

Leah McInnis (she/her) is a conceptual artist, arts worker, graphic designer and arts educator originally from Fort McMurray, AB. She holds an MFA from the University of Victoria, BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design, BA from the University of Alberta, and a Dip. Fine Arts from MacEwan College. She has exhibited work throughout Canada, including at Open Space Arts Society (Victoria, BC), ArtsPlace ARC (Annapolis Royal, NS), Mitchell Art Gallery (Edmonton, AB), Flux Gallery (Winnipeg, MB) and #3 Gallery (Vancouver). Her past projects have been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the BC Arts Council. Leah is currently in the Interdisciplinary PhD in Media & Artistic Research program at the University of Regina.

This week is the last week you can visit the 2026 BFA Graduation exhibition titled “Transmuting” at the Fifth Parallel Gallery.

Transmuting has a variety of our incredibly talented multidisciplinary artists who follow different mediums and thus have come together to put up a show for our BFA graduation exhibition.

Don’t miss out on this incredible show. Gallery is open all week from 11 am to 4 pm.

Please join the BFA students from the Department of Visual Arts for the opening reception of the 2026 graduation exhibition Transmuting on Thursday, April 9 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Remarks and brief artist talks will begin at 5:30 pm.

Transmuting features artwork by Brendan Desnomie, Hallie Lang, Chesca Beabianca Navarro, and Jayden Thompson, in the on-campus student-run Fifth Parallel Gallery (location: RC 136).

The exhibition dates are April 6 through 16, 2026. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.
