Salsa Colada
Salsa Colada is more than a dance studio it is a feeling. Designed for busy women who want self care that actually moves them,
A vibrant mix of Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha and Salsa CaleΓ±a woven into every class to keep things dynamic, fun and unforgettable. Salsa Colada was founded by Juliany Qureshi in the year 2000 but Juliany has been dancing for as long as she can remember- Dance was a channel for confidence and as a way to reach back at her Latin roots. Salsa Coladaβs purpose is to empower women and children ages 19mont
π Fun fact about Salsa Colada...
Many people think dance studios are all about performing, but that's not our focus.
We teach 7 classes each week, and only 2 are performance-based. The majority of our classes focus on learning dance, getting active, building confidence, and having fun in a supportive ladies-only environment.
No pressure to be on stage. No experience required. Just a chance to move, laugh, and do something for yourself.
Because dance doesn't have to end with a performance. Sometimes the best part is simply enjoying the journey. β€οΈ
I've realized that performing is basically a life lesson with better music and more sequins.
You prepare, you practice, you tell yourself you've got this... and then something unexpected happens.
A costume issue. A missed step. A brain freeze. A song that suddenly feels faster than it did in rehearsal. π
Life does the same thing.
The trick isn't avoiding mistakes. The trick is learning how to keep smiling, keep moving, and pretend it was part of the choreography all along.
Because whether it's on stage or in life, confidence can carry you through a lot of moments that weren't exactly in the plan.
And if all else fails, add extra hip movement and hope nobody noticed. ππ€£

I have a confession.
Every time I dance, I apparently forget what my actual job is.
Am I supposed to be dancing? Yes.
Am I also singing? Absolutely.
Do I know the lyrics? Every single one of them.
At this point, I'm starting to wonder if my secret dream was never to be a dancer at all. Maybe I was meant to be in a band.
The problem is that I don't just sing the singer's part. I sing EVERYONE'S part.
Lead vocals? Me. Backup vocals? Also me. Percussion? Me. Trumpets? Somehow, still me. Random instrumental break with no words? Believe it or not, me again. Ad libs? Every last one of them.
I can be in the middle of a turn pattern, spinning across the floor, and somehow I'm still over there singing the congas, the horns, and sounds that aren't even actual lyrics.
At this point, I'm not sure if I'm dancing to the band or trying to become the band.
If you've ever caught me performing and wondered why my mouth is moving during every single part of the song, just know I'm giving you the full concert experience for free. ππ€π

π Iβm so proud to have been part of the amazing talent that joined the pavilion. Your willingness to support small businesses like mine and give us a platform to showcase our passion and craft means more than you know. Thank you for helping us shine and for making us feel so welcome. β€οΈβ¨
Probably the best version of our Latino Pavilion. The vibes you saw on the stage were the same vibes behind the scenes and in every corner of the venue. We all loved it. It will be one of the best memories for our association. We would like to thank Salsa Colada for your talent and outstanding performance but most importantly for your great professionalism and attitude during the Latino Pavilion 2026! π

POV: Everyone else is being normal and I'm over here having a full conversation with the music. ππ
No backup dancers. No distractions. Just me, my questionable facial expressions, and a song that somehow convinced me to forget there was an audience watching.
People always ask what I'm thinking when I dance.
The answer is: absolutely nothing and absolutely everything at the same time.
One second I'm counting steps. The next second I'm wondering if I remembered to reply to that message. Then the music hits and my brain clocks out completely.
Dance has always been the place where I can stop overthinking and just enjoy the moment. No pressure, no expectations, just movement, music, and a whole lot of happiness.
It also burns calories and occasionally gives me 17 chins in photos, so it's really the complete package. ππ₯
