Interested in public speaking, or working on your public speaking skills? SIP is looking for a public speaking contest representative for the 2026 CAIW Convention!
Topics for a 5 minute speech include:
-Exploring the Ethical Challenges of AI
-Sustainability and the Future
-Leading with Empathy
-Digital Communication
-Topic of your choice
Let us know by April 10 if you are interested! SIP will be hosting a virtual mini-contest to determine the winner & SIP representative prior to April 15, so please be ready to present your speech!
Winner will receive a $50 cash prize, and 2nd place will receive a $25 cash prize
*interested parties must be willing and able to travel to the 2026 CAIW Convention in Blue Mountain, ON in June (11-14)

Who run the (insurance) world? Girls! Happy International Women’s Day! Did you know that the P&C industry is estimated to be 66% female?
SIP is a proud chapter of the Canadian Association of Insurance Women, which started 60 years ago to celebrate and empower women in the industry. While today we accept members of all genders, we wouldn’t be here without the women who got us here! We’d also like to send a big high five to the women who currently run our association: Eleanor (director), Caitlin (president), Tamara (VP), Melissa (treasurer and social media director), and Lindsay (secretary). Thank you for all you do our association!

Thank you to all who attended our Trivia Night in support of the Saskatchewan Burn Fund, sponsored by .saskatoondisasterservices
SDS were our big winners and took home the trophy and bragging rights for the next year, as the smartest Insurance Professionals in the Saskatoon Area!
Coming in second this year was who tried dearly to hold on to their title of returning champs!
Followed by a tie for 3rd place: , , , and the Burn Fund team.
Finally, couldn’t hold their title as supreme trivia champs, and came in last place this year, but we do commend their efforts!
We were also joined by fire fighters and paramedics from Saskatoon & Area who benefit via education and volunteer with burn victims through the Burn Fund, we thank you for taking the time from your day to join us!
We had a fantastic evening, thank you to everyone for coming out!
