At Kitowin Toastmasters meetings you can practice and improve your inter-personal communication skills and meeting organization skills in a positive and supportive environment. You will receive immediate constructive feedback and recommendations related to your speaking skills and mannerisms (i.e. Kitowin Toastmasters meetings have a structured agenda that provides guests and members a variety of
speaking and participatory activities to develop their skills. Speaking activities can be as brief as 30 seconds and as long as 30 minutes. There are about 10 participatory activities per meeting to engage in besides making speeches. In addition, membership in Kitowin Toastmasters Club is the means to access the vast number of learning workbooks provided by Toastmasters International aimed at developing a variety of speaking and leadership skills. The workbooks contain structured subjects for presentation at meetings as a means of building upon previously learned skills. However, you determine the pace of your progress in a no pressure, supportive, and friendly environment. New members can choose to be paired with a mentor who is a more experienced member to assist them with their speeches and learning about Toastmasters at the club level and beyond. An annual membership fee covers the cost of renting a meeting room, sundry materials, and maintaining your active membership in Toastmasters International.
