Sometimes we do septic inspections and the septic tank is completely full to the top. Not much able to be inspected here 🤷‍♀️

Did you know that your well head should have a proper fitting cap/ seal that prevents debris from getting in? This prevents bacteria from getting into your water. Ants nests around your well head is also a major concern and needs to be addressed.

We see a lot of systems with a bucket or something similar over the top of the casing as a cover and this can lead to many problems including but not limited to rodents getting into your well and contaminating your water supply.

It is important to ensure the well head is sealed and closed off as best as possible and that you are regularly testing your water for bacteria. Homeowners can test there water for bacteria at no cost through your local health centre. For real estate purposes you’ll need to go through an independent lab.
