As we reflect on our season so far, going into the Holiday season and leading into playdowns in the New Year, we want to give a special shout out to Lotteries Yukon and their Travel Assistance Program (TAP).

We are grateful for the supplement funding to assist in accessing competition outside of the Territory to play other competitive women’s teams in our sport.

We used the funding to go towards attending the Red Deer Curling Classic, a World Curling Tour event, where we had the chance to play both Canadian and international teams.

Lori (Chelseaʼs Mom) and Emily were our superstars behind the scenes helping support the team with keeping baby Jo happy during the trip while Chels was on the ice.

Lotteries Yukon

We came out of Red Deer with a 1-3 record this year! Not quite as good as we had hoped to do against the stiff competition, but we're happy with our improvement from last season.

We had 3 happy campers behind the glass all weekend:

🥌 Coach Carolyn came out for the spiel and the weekend prior for training. She really made all the difference, taking us further than we thought possible in such a short period of time.
🌸 Joey was happy to wander as long as there were French fries around! She's up and running now, which means Chelsea is on the ice full time!
🥌 Em was our backbone once again, keeping an eye on Joey while Chelsea was playing and getting on the ice herself!

We were so busy all week that posting may have slipped our minds (woops!) but you can still watch the previously livestreamed games on our page!

Every year, Kelsey participates in Extra Life to raise money for the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba!

She will be playing video games and streaming on her twitch channel for 24 hours starting at 6am (Manitoba time) on Saturday, November 2nd.

We even managed to have a team Thanksgiving dinner, topped off with obligatory dessert from Baked Expectations!

We're incredibly thankful for everyone who helped us out with our littlest fan this weekend and to the Pembina Curling Club for getting us some practice ice so that we could get on the ice together before our games.
