This year’s Indigenous Perspectives Conference was incredible! Organized by the @eusrdp and in collaboration with several partners, the Conference focuses on building understanding, appreciation, empathy and awareness of Indigenous cultures. Participants engaged in sessions including Indigenous Games and Cross-Curriculum Connections, Talking Circles, Nehiyam/Cree Language Lesson, The Spirt of the Métis, and Tipi Teachings. Components of these sessions link to the K-12 curriculum, providing additional benefits for aspiring teachers, Bachelor of Education learners and current educators. Your participation plays a vital role in shaping an event that not only educates but also fosters positive change and collaboration within our community. It is with great honor that we announce Chantal Chagnon as the keynote speaker for the 2024 Indigenous Perspectives Conference. Chantal Chagnon is a Cree / Métis Singer, Drummer, Artist, Storyteller, Actor, Educator, Workshop Facilitator, Social Justice Advocate and Activist with roots in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. She shares Traditional Indigenous Songs, Stories, Culture, History, Arts, Indigenous Craftsmanship and Teachings. Chantal has presented in Classrooms from Preschool through University and Professional, Community, and Social Justice Events and Gatherings.
