Donna passed away peacefully in Regina at the age of 77, after many years of health challenges.

She faces every day with strength, courage and quiet grace that inspired those around her. David, her loving husband, was by her side throughout all of those challenges. Family was the heart of her life. She loved deeply, cared endlessly, and always put others first. Her warmth, kindness and unwavering love will live on in all of us.

Forever in our hearts.

Santana Olivine Monroe
September 16th, 1988 – August 29th, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Santana Olivine Monroe, “Tana.”

Santana was deeply loved and will always be remembered for her beautiful spirit, kind heart, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She brought joy and warmth to the lives of those who knew her, and her memory will live on forever in our hearts. Though she is no longer with us, she will never be forgotten. We will carry her love and memory with us always.

Forever loved, forever missed, forever in our hearts.

A traditional wake will be held Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, at 4:00 pm in the Little Black Bear Community Center, Little Black Bear Band.

Funeral services will be held the following day, Friday, September 4th, 2026, at 11:00 am in the same location.

Following Traditional protocols, the family respectfully request no children under the age of 12 attend the services.

Jann (Janet Diane) Cyr
“ Grandmother Rock “
December 14, 1962 – August 27, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce Jann joined the angels during the eclipse of the moon on August 27, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Jann will be loved and remembered by her son Ryan Missens; her loving partner Roland Kaye of Regina; her sisters Lydia of Fort Qu'Appelle, Lorraine (Elgin) Pinay of Peepeekisis and their family Jason, Cordell, Meldon, Brydon, Shelenda and special niece Maria; Bernice (Daniel Pelletier) of George Gordon First Nation and children Tonya, Trevor and Kelly; Brother Jim's children Reginald and Nicole of BC; special brother/nephew Kelly Cyr and his children Alicia, Brook, Avery, and Lyric of BC and sister/cousin Rhonda Laframbois and her children Trina, Tara and Tyler of Regina; auntie Joyce (Walter) Pelletier of Bangor and grandnieces and nephews.
Jann is welcomed into the Spirit World by kokum Hilda Pelletier; parents JB Cyr and Doris Cyr; brother Jim; special sister in law Bette Cyr; nephew Kyle Pinay and niece Tiersen Pratt.
Jann grew up in Fort Qu'Appelle and built and administrative career most recently at Red Eagle Lodge at Pasqua first Nation, Leading Thunderbird Lodge, First Nations University of Canada (SIFC), SGI and Sasktel.
She was pleased to be and elected member of the Fort Qu'Appelle town council where she shared First Nations culture and values and was influential in joining Fort council and the Tribal council for a stronger community. Her many accomplishments will have a lasting impact.
Jann also enjoyed her time with the many groups and committees where she formed friendships including the Fort Qu'Appelle Seniors club, Knitwits, and Wellness workshops. In retirement she became a marriage commissioner where she joined over 40 couples in matrimony.
We thank our friends, neighbors and relatives for their love, support, condolences, flowers, food hugs and visits.
Thank you to her home care team – Marcy Wood whose kindness guided us through Janns final moments, Nicky Popiuk, Christine Denyen, Kelly Phillips, Andrea Smith, ANHH and Eagles Nest staff.
We will miss her bright smile, her sparkling eyes and her laughs. Although she was the baby of the family her wisdom and guidance made an impact on us all.
A Celebration Of Life will be held Monday August 31, 2026 at 1 pm in the Fort Qu'Appelle Legion, 185 Company Avenue South, Fort Qu'Appelle, SK

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John James, who left us peacefully on August 27, 2026 at the age of 39.

Though his time with us was far too short, throughout his life he touched the hearts of many with his unique spirit, kindness, humour and the love he gave to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed but he will forever be remembered for the love he shared, the memories he created, and the special place he held in the lives of his family and friends.

John leaves behind his beloved family and friends who will carry his memory with them always.

It is with profound sadness the family announces that Ivan Joseph Kay was called home by Creator. Ivan began his journey on Wednesday, August 25th, 2026, at the age of 64.

A wake will be held on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, at 4pm in the Asiniw-Kisik Education Complex on Kawacatoose First Nation. Funeral services will take place the following day, Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026, at 11am in the same location.

It is with great sadness that the family of Christian Pelletier-Maier announces his passing on August 14, 2026.

A Traditional Wake will be held in the Cowessess Community Hall on Friday, August 28th, 2026 at 4:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held the following day Saturday, August 29th, 2026 beginning at 1:00 pm in the same location.

Dillon Blake McNab
September 18th, 1992 - August 14th, 2026

It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, father, brother, nephew, Dillon Blake McNab. He started his journey home on August 14th, 2026, at the age of 33.

To greet him at Heaven's gates is his son Kai; paternal grand father Dennis; great grandparents Leslie & Theresa; and other family members that went before him.

Left to cherish his beautiful memory are his parents Dennis Jr (Koty); mom Phyllis; children Nicholas, Mikhail, Honey & Kade; siblings Brett (Stacey), Kaitlyn & Teah (Terrance); nephews Keagan & Draven; nieces Sophie (Millie), Ruby, Serena & Enid; grandmother Elvina and many uncles, aunties & cousins.

Dillon had a passion for music & loved to play guitar. He loved going on walks with his mother & watching NASCAR racing with his dad. Dillon enjoyed fishing, camping &traveling to visit family. He made many friends on his travels & valued each new friend he made.

There will be no burial, as his wishes were to be cremated.

A traditional wake will be held in Dillon's honor on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026, at 4pm in the Old Gymnasium on George Gordon First Nation. Funeral services will take place the following day, Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 at 11am in the same location.

Lloyd was called home by the Creator unexpectedly on Monday, August 17, 2026 at the age of 65 years.

Survived by his wife, Geraldine Bear, sons, Everett (Naomi), Ethan (Lenasia), daughters, Tara, Tori, adopted daughters Courtney (Evan) Bambridge, Chantelle (Danny) Laplante, adopted son, Morley Taypotat. Grandchildren Eva, Sakari, Buster, Gracie, Bella, Austin, Aiden, Leyla, Kade, Hanlon, Kylie, Aria, Sisters, Joy Starr, Freida Pelletier, Jean (Alfred Jr) Taypotat, Brenda (Robert) Bear. Brother Robert (Janice) Bear. Sister-in-law Freida Ann Bear, Uncle Orval (Cathy) Bear. A Traditional Wake will take place on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 4 PM in the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex, Ochapowace First Nation.
A Feast will take place in the same location on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 11 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 PM.
