Some milling i did before winter set in.
I’ll wait until spring to treat the wood to keep the bugs out and try and preserve it. This timber was from the tree that was over growing our house when we purchased it

After buying some sun bleached Timbers nearly 2 years ago my wife and children went on holiday so I got the false beams fitted to our house to break up the open spaces

A job for a client that wasn’t in a rush but it did take while. They wanted the posts re-casing to hide the concrete sonitube below. Seeing as each post was twisted and warped nothing was quick about it. First day was +9c the last day was -16c

where to start and stop.. excuse the long message.

So moving to canada has been a great joy! I have not loaded any pictures from working for companies due to learning constantly and working, however… we bought a dilapidated semi finished house that was overgrown with trees, the roof was falling apart, the windows filled with condensation when cold and the balcony was a large hazard for no handrail…

my beautiful wife Kelsey give birth to our baby merryn who has been growing and learning constantly but not using daddy’s power tools around the house. She is nearly 2 years old and we had her just weeks after moving into our home. I will leave a few notes on some pictures.

Learning Canadian construction is quite the change from the variety of jobs I held in England but there’s hardly any rain or wind to stop work, unless it’s -30

I have moved countrys to Canada to be with the woman i love and the lifestyle i have longed for. I will be working for companies in my area until i am well established with the methods of construction. My posts will not be regular but a new method of construction is a never ending fun challenge that i will be posting occasionally. What a brilliant rewarding adventure awaits.
