The first cross-country automobile journey occurred in 1903, completed by Horatio Nelson Jackson and his companions in a Winton car named the "Vermont". The trip took 63 days, 12 hours, and 30 minutes!

Fun Fact Wednesday has returned!
This week's fun fact is about how Vehicles were made with a "tiller" or lever! Instead of having a steering wheel, they had a lever! almost like how some boats are steered! In the Mid-1880s, they invented the lever. switching over to the steering wheel in 1894. Invented by Alfred Vacheron, who installed it on his Panhard & Levassor for the Paris-Rouen race to improve control over the standard steering lever. It replaced tiller-based steering, becoming standard on cars by roughly 1914!
