I have a little $5 bin of some products that I need to clear out! Unfortunately due to lack of time, popularity and a huge increase in materials cost I will be cutting some products from the shop. Wow! I can’t believe it’s been 4 years already! (At least I think it’s been four years, honestly my brain is a disaster so im just guessing). Well there’s been a lot of ups and very few downs with this little biz I’ve created, and im very hopeful for the future! Yes I may be downsizing a bit this year due to school- mom life balance, but im still committed to bringing you guys the best The Koop has to offer. 2021 was a doozy of a year for me personally and im glad to see it behind me. From a copycat business here in town, family and health issues and lord only remembers what other obstacles where hurled my way, This little side hustle I started has always been something that brings me joy. I wouldn’t have that if it weren’t for all of you supporting, liking and sharing my products. I pour so much love and research into everything that I make. I hope it shines through in high quality products that everyone loves. So again, thank you. I love my Koop Fam and can’t wait to see what 2022 has instore for Koop Soap co. ❤️🐓

I’ve been so busy with school lately that I completely forgot about these cute spring unicorns until my curing reminder went off today!

These are made with our signature original recipe and feel so nice on the skin. The unicorns are not soap and are easily removed before use. I’ll have these labeled and ready to go by the end of the day!

When Kais was 2 her aunt and uncle told her that they saw unicorns at their house. The unicorns are super special and even leave gifts in the horse pasture for the girls to find from time to time. The unicorns fly south for the winter and only come back in the spring. So I thought I would make a spring unicorn inspired soap!

Scented with alpine cheer and woodland theme fragrance oils. These cute bars should be ready in 4-6 weeks! Stay tuned for the cut!

As some of you have noticed I’ve been pretty quiet on here lately, and that’s because I have some pretty big news! After a very and I mean very long break I’m FINALLY going back to school. Yay congratulations you say… but wait what does that mean for the Koop?

Well honestly I can’t tell you for sure but I am going to do my best to make sure that my store is fully stocked up before my course starts at the end of February. That way you guys hopefully will still be able to get your favourite products without long wait times. Most of my products can be whipped up pretty quickly in small batches. My soaps do have a 4-6 week cure time so if there’s a bar you love then stock up as there may be longer wait times on curing soaps.

Messaging and orders will also now be closed on weekends Friday-Sunday. Feel free to send your questions and orders whenever you feel but we will not be active on our page until the weekend is over. I will also not be creating new products and just restocking my current product list. (Unless creativity strikes of course)

I have always tried to be accommodating to everyone so I hope these small changes don’t mess you guys up to much but I am very excited about this new path so wish me luck!

We have an all new product to introduce just in time for the holiday season! Say hello to our Strawberry Banana Facial Mask! Made with strawberry fruit extract powder, which is rich in polyphenols and Vitamin C. Strawberry Powder provides protection for the skin and is said to have skin-soothing properties. It is a wonderful toner that helps to reduce the appearance of pores. Banana Powder is rich in potassium and vitamin A. In formulations it has proven to be great for dry skin!

Each mask comes in a single use pouch. Just add a bit of water, mix and apply to your face. $3.00

I’ve also been busy stocking up bath crumble, bath truffles, shampoo bars and other fantastic Koop products for Christmas!

Made with Shea butter and other skin loving ingredients, and scented with alpine cheer, a warm holiday scent for a hot relaxing bath! These guys will need to dry for a few days before they’re ready to make their maiden voyages.

As many of you are starting your Christmas shopping, I think it’s time to start up small business shoutouts again!

First person/ business I want to bring attention to is Redfish Poke Bowls! I can’t get enough of their amazing food!! Right now I am obsessed with the Mahalo bowl. They have amazing lemonade and whipped coffee to! The service alone is enough to keep me coming back for more, even if I’m not hungry I find I can’t get enough of the friendly, bubbly atmosphere. This place is hands down my FAVOURITE restaurant in town.

So if you’re stuck on what to get that person that has everything, or the one who’s always forgetting their lunch at home, I highly recommend a gift card from Redfish Poke Bowls. Healthy food and happy service is my idea of the perfect gift!

Let’s talk ingredients!!

Most of my soaps are made without animal fat and palm oil. This is solely just because I like this version of the recipe I developed the best. But every now and then I love to include different types of animal fats into my soaps!

About twice a year I like to make a big batch of bone broth from scratch for my dog to add to his meals. Any fat trimmings will be cut off and rendered down into tallow… and yes my house does smell while this process takes place. 😅 I never really had any use for it but I hate to see it go to waste, so that’s when I started playing with my soap recipe. Now it took me 2 full years to develop my recipe to perform exactly how I want it to so this was a big step for me.

I had so many great things said about my duck fat and tallow soaps last year that I have decided to make it a permanent recipe! Tallow makes a hard long-lasting soap with a light creamy lather. Tallow is also similar to human fat, and so it makes a great moisturizer! Tallow is not only great for repairing skin, but it also helps to prevent damage to skin. All of those skin friendly antioxidants and other nutrients keep skin healthy and strong. The natural antimicrobial properties in tallow help to prevent acne and breakouts. All these fantastic properties of Tallow are why I decided to add it to my soaps and hopefully future products. If animal fat just isnt you’re thing, don’t fret because my original recipe contains no animal fat and it is here to stay.
