Yesterday, we had the honour of presenting QCRC’s Bright Future Award at Centre de formation Eastern Québec Learning Centre year-end celebration. This award recognizes a student who has shown resilience, dedication, and growth throughout their learning journey. A special thank you to Quebec City English-speaking Community Foundation for generously funding this award and supporting learners in our community.

Congratulations to this year’s award winners! We’re so proud of all you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what your bright futures hold!

There’s still time to join the Snail Mail Club, but registration closes May 8th!

This fun and meaningful program gives children the chance to connect through handwritten letters, creativity, and community. Participants receive a kit with everything they need to get started, and this year, QCRC is excited to partner with Yamaska Literacy Council in Cowansville, giving kids from the Quebec City area the opportunity to connect with new friends a little farther away!

Already participated before? We’d love to welcome you back! Returning participants can register again and we’ll happily restock your child’s kit with the essentials.

We had such a great time yesterday with the students from Centre de formation Eastern Québec Learning Centre during their very first cooking class at Ateliers et Saveurs. What a fun experience!

Happy Canadian Children’s Book Week!

April 26th – May 2nd is CCBW and it’s a time to celebrate the magic of stories and Canadian authors, illustrators, and storytellers who bring them to life.

This year’s theme, “This Is Our Home, These Are Our Stories / Nos histoires chez nous,” reminds us how powerful it is for children and teens to see themselves reflected in the books they read.
