👷🏻♂️Too many men on a construction site?
There’s a reason I think the best construction teams have a little bit of both. 👏🏼
Put too many women in a room together and we can overthink every little detail. Put too many men in a room together and sometimes the answer is, “Looks good to me.” 😂
Obviously, I’m generalizing, but there’s something to be said for having different perspectives, personalities and ways of thinking around the table.
In construction, the designer is often one of the only women involved in the project. And I actually think that balance is incredibly valuable.
We notice different things. We communicate differently. We approach problems differently. And when those perspectives work together instead of against each other, you usually end up with a better result.
It’s not about one being better than the other.
The magic is in the balance.

Every visit is different. Sometimes there’s issues to solve, sometimes there’s trades to communicate with, other times it’s simply walking through and ensuring the design is going to plan.

⛳️One thing I’ve always admired about luxury golf courses is that they don’t pack people in every few minutes.
Your tee time is intentionally spaced out.
You aren’t being rushed around the course. You’re not waiting on the group ahead of you all day. The entire experience feels calmer and more enjoyable.
That’s exactly how I’ve chosen to build my interior design business.
I intentionally take on very few projects (or even less!) each year. Not because I couldn’t fit more in, but because I want every client to have my full attention.
When you email, I have time to respond thoughtfully.
When we’re making important design decisions, we aren’t rushing to meet the next appointment.
When challenges come up (and they always do during construction), there’s room to solve them properly.
Luxury isn’t just about beautiful finishes.
It’s about having the time, attention, and care to create them.
