Drystone steps meandering up through a granite bedrock crevice. It was as though the void existed for this purpose. We wanted to respect the opportunity nature had given us. This is the result of our efforts.
The random rubble limestone used for these stairs was found on site. We are always glad to make use of found materials and many times the result is a pleasant surprise.

We tried our hand at carving a few vessels using a combination of power and hand carving this past winter.
This butternut bowl would make a great kitchen/dining display piece.

A neat little dry laid causeway we created a while back to connect our client's primary Charleston Lake island property to a smaller island, enhancing the naturally occuring sheltered swimming bay.
The back, more exposed side (not shown) features large slabs laid on an angle to allow winter ice to ride up and down the slope , reducing winter damage.
