4 of our drivers joined their peers at the Central Ontario Regional Truck Driving Championships (CORTDC), which were held in Kitchener this past Saturday. Ashley joined for the first time in the Rookie Class Tandem-Tandem. Greg and Richard returned for the Tandem-Tandem Class, and Kevin was in the B-Train division. They competed against 29 other drivers from the region. Congrats to Kevin on placing 2nd in his group!

Events like this are a great way to showcase the impressive driving skills of our team. We're grateful for all the support from Kriska and Mill Creek. They donated trucks, detailed our rigs and made time for our team to prepare. Thanks to our competitors for showing the strength of Team Kriska!

The new agreement between Ontario and Pennsylvania shows just how connected our markets are. For many years, Kriska has served Pennsylvania, with our trucks crossing the border daily to support the companies, communities, and supply chains that depend on this freight.

Our industry-leading driver coaching program has gained 3 new Driver Trainers! Our operations and safety teams nominate our best and most dedicated drivers to join this elite group. Before being assigned trainees, the new Trainers spent some time at our Mississauga location learning how to be better teachers with Safety& Training Supervisor, Guy. Our Driver Training Program helps to build safe drivers and a friendly culture that encourages Drivers to continually learn and improve. We pair Drivers who are new to Kriska (and sometimes to driving trucks) with Trainers who guide them to become better at their job. Seeing our crew chat in our yard about the details is a common sight.

Trainer Marco, new Driver Ashley and Trainer Patricia were catching up in the beautiful spring weather. Both Ashley and Patricia began their driving careers as bus drivers, making the transition a little easier.
