Last month I attended a beautiful lunch put on by the Top of the Hill Ladies Group.

They asked me to come and talk to them as they wanted to learn more about Jumpstart, and the impact on children here in our community.

At the end of the event they awed me with their generosity, donating $1000.00 to Jumpstart Charities. A wonderful contribution that will help support so many kids in sport and play here in qathet.

Powell River, you are a beautiful place rooted in community.

June is here, and so is JUMPSTART month!

Every year, Jumpstart supports thousands of children and youth across Canada in accessing sport in our local communities.
This year, we are focusing on bringing awareness and raising funds for OUR community here in qathet.

Every dollar raised here will stay here. Saltery Bay to Lund- that's us! Last year, 197 children were helped in our Chapter.

A big thanks to A&W Powell River who has graciously offered to donate Rootbeer Float sales on Thursday nights between 4 and 6pm for June and July.
