While booking places for the night before will still be available, they do book fast and we encourage early planning!

Going into the New Year reflecting on this last year.

Here's to being intune with ourselves, enjoying all the simplicities, taking time for our own souls, cherishing the moments and holding close all that is special, wild and magical around us.

Sending you all the bliss, health and the slowness that this season asks for.

Big breath in and exhale that salty air of the coast, the crisp mountain air, and the expansive flatland air that offers us so much.

My gratitude is endless and I am so excited for this coming year and all the possibilities in the unknown.

As we swirl on this earth in this endless universe with all the unforseeable happenings may we ground in the soil, in our loved ones, and hold on to all we cherish. Let us be present to the journey. Let us breath.

How does one not stand in awe at these beautiful mammoths, a true story of time and a testimony of a healthy forest. How I hope we keep these legacies for generations.

Final trip of the season was with my family. I love getting to be "Nature Auntie" to these ones. Sharing these precious days is my favorite way to sink in to each other, to play and to the awe of what we have right here in our backyards.

I especially loved experiencing everything through their eyes. The excitement of seeing Humpbacks while we crossed the straight, the joy of seeing Sea Otters, the simplicity of jellies, making a stage in the forest, playing pretend, building fires, eating outside together and watching the sunset.

Heart full.

The color of the Broken Group Islands right now is wild! We have been watching this algae bloom for the past 2 trips, turn the waters from a dark blue, to a turquoise, and now a chalky green.

I am curious if the algae bloom could help to maintain a cooler temperature from the sun to the lower water levels in this time?

The algae bloom is one within the Coccoliyhophore family for those interested in deep diving.

🚧 Major Roadwork on Highway 4 – Expect Delays July through December 🚧

The Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MOTT) is undertaking several important infrastructure upgrades along Highway 4 between Port Alberni and Tofino from July to December 2025. Drivers can expect delays and are urged to plan ahead. Here’s what to expect close to home:
