What a wonderful surprise to come home from a 12 hour shift to!!

Each of our ladies had 6 beautiful babies and have done such an excellent job of keeping them safe ❤️

Sarah did unfortunately lose one (was originally 7) and one of Esthers is substantially smaller than the others. Otherwise they are very sturdy little potatoes! We wil hope that the little one can fend off their bulky siblings enough to grow and thrive 🤞

Hi everyone 🌿

I’m excited to introduce myself, Desirae Smith-Hamill, as the new owner of what was formerly Gingerbread Garden Rabbitry — now proudly continuing as Ginger Root Rabbitry.

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the wonderful foundation that was built before me. Gingerbread Garden Rabbitry was clearly created with care, dedication, and a genuine love for these animals, and I’m truly honoured to carry that forward. My goal is to preserve the heart of what made this rabbitry special, while gradually adding my own touch and vision as we grow.

Ginger Root Rabbitry will remain focused on breeding beautiful Crème d’Argent rabbits, with an emphasis on health, temperament, and quality. We are based out of Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, and over the course of the spring I’ll be working on expanding and sharing more information about our program, practices, and available rabbits.

As a little exciting update — we are currently expecting two litters sometime next week (April 28th - 30th) 🐇✨ A lovely way to begin this new chapter!
