Behind every strong dad, there's a story not everyone sees.
This Father's Day, we want to acknowledge the fathers who are quietly struggling with stress, mental health, or addiction and remind them that reaching out is one of the strongest things they can do.
You don't have to carry it alone.

Many people who struggle with addiction aren't broken; their brain simply isn't suited to the world we've built.
Dr. Anna Lembke, addiction psychiatrist at Stanford University, breaks down the science of dopamine and why understanding it is the first step toward recovery.
Awareness leads to change.

40% of all drug-related emergency room visits come from a single substance.
Crack co***ne affects the brain almost instantly, and the cycle of craving can take hold faster than most people realize. Understanding what it does to the body is the first step toward recognizing the danger.
Recovery is possible. The brain can heal.
If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use, help is available.

For a long time, the story around addiction felt dark, messy, and suffocating. But recovery often begins with changing the story we tell about ourselves and about our pain.
In her TEDx talk, Jo Harvey Weatherford shares how a shift in perspective transformed her journey from addiction to healing.
Addiction is not a moral failure. It is a response to pain, and healing is always possible.
If you or someone you love is struggling, support is available.

This April, our Roots of Recovery community came together at Volt Raceway for a day of go-karting, axe-throwing, and bowling. There was friendly competition, a few questionable driving techniques, surprising axe-throwing talent, and enough laughter to fill the whole track. The day wrapped up with a testimonial-style meeting where members shared their stories and stood beside one another.
Events like this exist because recovery is not just about getting through it. It is about rediscovering joy, connection, and realizing you are sitting at a table where you belong. Not perfect, not polished, but real, fun, and full of moments worth celebrating.
We are grateful to everyone who came out and made this day so special.
If you or someone you love is ready to take the next step, our team is here to help.

Many of us develop ways to cope early in life, but those habits don't always grow with us.
Comedian and podcast host Theo Von has been open about his struggles with addiction and the moment he realized his old survival tools were no longer enough.
Sometimes the hardest part is recognizing that you need a different kind of support.
If something feels off, it's okay to reach out.

Alcohol and mental health are more closely connected than many people realize.
What can feel like relief in the moment may worsen anxiety, depression, impulsive behavior, and emotional distress over time. Talking more openly about this connection can help people recognize the signs earlier and seek the support they need.
If you or someone you love is struggling, help is available.
