Last week, we had the privilege of supporting the second annual Amanda Todd Legacy Golf Tournament — and what an incredible day it was! With over 100 golfers and dinner guests, and generous funds raised, the event was a great success in support of mental health awareness and anti-bullying initiatives.
We’re so grateful to have been part of such a heartfelt cause and to stand alongside a community committed to kindness, connection, and change.
Thank you to the Amanda Todd Legacy Society for inviting us to be part of this powerful day! 💜🐾

Summer is the perfect time for fun in the water with your furry friend! But for double-coated dogs, swimming can sometimes lead to uncomfortable hot spots. Here’s how to keep your pup happy and healthy after a splash:
Rinse and Dry Thoroughly 🚿
After a swim, rinse your dog with fresh water to remove chlorine, salt, or pond debris. Dry them thoroughly with a towel or blow dryer, focusing on their undercoat where moisture can get trapped.
Regular Brushing 🐶
Brush your dog’s coat regularly to remove loose fur and prevent matting. This allows better airflow to their skin, reducing the risk of hot spots.
Check for Hot Spots Daily 👀
Look for red, inflamed areas, especially under the ears, neck, and around the groin. Early detection and treatment can prevent them from worsening.
Bath Time 🛁
A good bath every 2-4 weeks helps keep their coat clean and healthy. Use a dog-specific shampoo to maintain their skin’s natural oils. Rinse thoroughly to avoid any residue that could cause irritation.
Avoid Shaving ✂️🚫
Shaving a double coat can do more harm than good. Their coat acts as insulation against both heat and sunburn. Instead, trim excess fur around areas prone to matting and ensure their coat is well-maintained.

A well-trained dog isn't just easier to live with. They're a happier, more confident version of themselves.
Training is one of the most powerful things you can do for your dog's mental health. It builds focus, reduces anxiety, strengthens your bond, and gives their brain the kind of workout that a long walk simply can't replicate.
And here's what most people don't realize: dogs who get regular mental stimulation are significantly less likely to develop destructive behaviours. Chewing, barking, jumping — a lot of that is just a bored dog looking for a job.
A few simple ways to work training into your week:
🐾 Five minutes of focused commands before meals
🐾 Teach one new trick per week — even seniors love to learn
🐾 Use mealtimes as training sessions instead of bowl feeding
🐾 Rotate toys and puzzles to keep things fresh
At Good Dog, training is woven into everything we do — from how we structure daycare to our dedicated training programs designed for every age and stage.
Curious about what training could look like for your pup? Visit gooddog.ca to explore our programs.
Happy 💙🐾

Spring is here. And so is the fur. Everywhere. On everything. 😅
If your dog hasn't had a bath in a while, you already know what we're talking about. The couch. The car. Your black jacket that you've basically retired.
Shedding season is completely natural — but it doesn't have to take over your home.
Our 𝗗𝗲-𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗵 is designed to tackle it at the source. We work deep into the undercoat to remove loose fur before it ends up on your furniture, using professional tools and techniques that a regular bath simply can't replicate.
The result? A lighter, more comfortable dog — and a home you can actually breathe in again.
✨ Want to take it to the next level? Pair your De-Shed with our Marshmallow fragrance for a finish that's impossibly soft, beautifully scented, and honestly just chef's kiss. 🤌
Spring feels better when everyone's fresh. 🌸🐾

Nail trims. The thing every dog owner knows they need to do… and keeps putting off. 😅
Overgrown nails aren't just uncomfortable — they affect your dog's posture, joint health, and the way they walk. Regular trims are genuinely one of the simplest things you can do for their long-term wellbeing.
That's why we created our Unlimited Nail Trim Package — just $50/month.
Come in as often as your pup needs. No appointments, no guilt, no nail clicking anxiety at home. Just happy paws. 🐾
