One more snowy photo moment for this blustery day!
We haven't really had a windstorm yet. Often there have been two windy storms by this point in time-- the first one usually damages my outdoor set before our sessions even get started. And then the next one usually knocks a bunch of branches to the ground in the forest, which I gather to use in my yard.

I try to keep calm about the many enjoyable holiday related things we like to do. If we miss something we like one year, I think we make up for it with other new things we've tried that same year. But I will admit, I am feeling a bit stressed out as I just learned that our beloved little tree farm (so small that you've never heard of it) is already closed for the year 💔I told the kids it felt a little too early to go yesterday, they're going to be so mad at me!

My lovely daughter Ottilia ♥ If you come for a session, you probably won't see her because she's shy, but just know that since we first started these sessions in 2020 she has been studying your client questionnaires- she knows most of your kids' names and what they are interested in. She's listening upstairs like a stalker during the sessions 😂 and checks out the resulting photos after the sessions. We love reminiscing some of the antics that kiddos do during their sessions while they're here and seeing their silly faces they sometimes make :)
There was a couple of years where she wasn't enjoying having me take her photos, which I fully understood, but to my surprise she seems into it again 🙏 which I will happily oblige!

We've been doing our Christmas photos with @sakuraleslie since 2022, and my favourite part is probably the photos with the snow machine! Every Christmas mini session starts with the indoor sets (there are 3 beautiful backdrops this year) and then you'll finish your session outdoors with the snow machine! The indoor set and outdoor set both have lighting, so evening photos still turn out great. In fact, I prefer the night time photos in the snow! Leslie has a quick turnaround, so you'll receive around 20-30 photos within a week of your session. Once we receive our photos, I'll be sure to share them as well! Comment below with the word "photo" and I'll send you more info about the mini sessions and a booking link! 📸

We've had so many fantastic Holiday Sessions so far this year! The season wouldn't be complete without a rainfall warning, and we had our first sessions in heavy rain last night and all the families still came (I'm so proud of them! 🥹). Rainstorm sessions happen every year and everyone has a choice to postpone if they'd like, but they all jived with the weather and had a great time!

The grand finale of every Holiday Session includes a magical snowfall outside. This is our sixth year doing these which means we have photographed over 300 magical snowfalls and luckily for me, it NEVER gets old!!
