Pinawa Public Library

The library is closed Tuesday to Thursday this week, but we invite you to enjoy the new story on the StoryWalk trail!

I Am Connected by Indigenous storyteller Kung Jaadee and illustrated by Carla Joseph is a book that helps remind us that we are connected to the earth and to each other.

Due to scheduled maintenance in the community center, the Library will be closed from August 18-20th. Make sure you get your books for the week on Sunday, August 16th.

The StoryWalk boards are currently under maintenance. They have been cleaned and given a fresh coat of wood stain. The stain will need at least 48 hours to dry, so we have left the storyboards empty at this time to discourage little hands from touching.

Book sale at the library!

We have recently weeded through some of our children and young adult books, and will be holding a flash sale at the library. Just 50 cents a book! It’s a steal of a deal!

Due to upcoming maintenance scheduled in the community centre for the third week of August, there will only be TWO more storytimes left for the summer months! Contact the library if you would like to sign your child up for a spot on August 6th or 13th!📚

📣We are pleased to announce the winner of the library quilt fundraiser:

New Pinawanians, Wes and Ellen Rae Overand were the winners of the library quilt! Ellen Rae was a librarian so we can’t think of a better match! Welcome to Pinawa!

The quilt fundraiser brought in an amazing $1385.00 to support our Library. A huge thank you to the Pinawa Friendship Block Quilters for donating their time and dedication to creating this masterpiece.

Is your little one getting ready to say goodbye to diapers? Our Potty Training Parent Pack is here to help!

This pack includes a selection of parenting books as well as children's books to make this important milestone a little less stressful and a lot more fun. Reading together can help children become familiar with potty routines and build confidence.
