Walpole Express 2001 Elite

The boys ended the year with a 5-2 win to finish 21-14-3 on season, 10-4-1 in the second half barely missing out on the playoffs. Great season with two tournament championships and a great group of players. The coaches are extremely proud of the boys compete level all year. We are happy that we had a chance to see these boys grow.

Last Game of the season Saturday !!

Needed two wins this weekend to get to playoffs....the boys won 7-1 on Saturday, but unfortunately lost on Sunday. This was an amazing run (7 in a row, 8 of last 9) and they really wanted it. Assuming we win the finale, this team will finish 10-4-1 in the second half....They will finish 1 point out of a playoff spot.

Proud of these kids....they worked hard for the coaches all year and it showed.

Go Express !!

Goaltending is important !! The Express played another big game this weekend against a team we are battling for a spot in the playoffs and won 4-1....boys played hard again and a few huge saves kept us rolling this season...the boys have a 14-4-3 record in the last 21 games !! Go Express !!

Practice today - 11 AM.....

Superbowl? How about Super Express !! Two games this weekend and the Express keep their playoffs hopes alive with two more wins....12-2 win over Knighthawks from Connecticut and a HUGE 2-1 win against the previously undefeated Boston Stars. Best game of the year from the boys, by far, coaches can't be prouder !! GO EXPRESS !!!

The boys won their 3rd straight game Sunday with a solid 7-0 victory. I'm proud of the unselfish play and the hustle. They have something to play for and they are embracing the challenge !! We still need to clean up our decisions and passing in our own zone, but we'll continue to work on that this week !! GO EXPRESS !!

January 14th / Canadiens vs Blackhawks

Boys keep the momentum and beat the Senators 6-1....this was a great win against a good team. They are playing like a team, moving the puck and crashing the net. For the first time in both halves the boys have a winning record in the league....
