On Saturday, On Rock hosted its 17th Annual Wine Tasting, celebrating the incredible wines and cuisine of Canada!

A huge thank you to Tête carrée traîteur, who absolutely knocked it out of the park. Josh's exquisite take on Canadian favourites was exceptional and a highlight of the evening.

This event simply wouldn't happen without our amazing volunteer team. More than 40 volunteers gave their time to set up, serve, plate, wash dishes, decorate, welcome guests, and clean up. Your hard work and dedication make this fundraiser possible, and we are so grateful for each of you.

A special thank you as well to Bilal Butt for bringing his energy and enthusiasm as our emcee, and to Frederic Beauregard for once again leading us on an unforgettable journey through some of Canada's finest wines.

We are also incredibly thankful for the generous support of our donors. Their partnership helps make this event one of On Rock's most significant fundraisers of the year, allowing us to continue making a meaningful difference in our community.

Big thank you to Kiddo Active Therapy in Pointe Claire Shops and 3 Soeurs BOLS who both stepped up to accept food donations for us! As of tomorrow, you can conveniently drop off food donations (see below) at either location. Friends helping friends...together we make a difference!

Yesterday I was suppose to post this picture, letting our community know that while our number of families we are serving is at its highest, our donations are at their lowest.

Instead of making that post, we came into work to find our warehouse flooding. Our staff and volunteers spent the day trying to keep up with the water, while still making sure all our families got their food for the week. We didn’t close our doors because we know our families rely on us.

We are so lucky to have a team and community that put our clients first.

That being said, our shelves are emptying faster than we can restock them. Right now we urgently need food donations to keep up with the growing need to help keep our shelves stocked and ensure no one who comes to us leaves empty-handed.

Some of our most needed items include:

* Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans, lentils)
* Cereal and oatmeal
* Canned soups
* Tomato sauce
* Crackers
* School snacks
* Canned fruits and vegetables
* Rice
* Bagged lentils

If you’ve been thinking about helping, now is the time. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.

What a night! We celebrated the official send-off for Kim Reid as he begins his well-earned retirement.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared memories of working alongside Kim and being part of the On Rock journey over the years. It was an evening filled with incredible people, past and present volunteers, friends, family and the many local politicians who have supported On Rock through every stage of its growth.

The turnout was a true testament to Kim’s impact and the legacy he leaves behind!
