Back To Reality

Earlier in the summer, I cut a sucker off of the bottom of our Catalpa tree, then dipped the end in rooting compound and placed it into vermiculite. It has roots now and some leaves. Planning on transplanting it today from a large Mason jar into a plant pot.

A trailcamera capture yesterday, 2.5 hr after hanging it up. Was harvesting chanterelles there just after hanging the camera. Glad he wasn't around then, well, maybe he was, I just didn't know it.

What a culinary experience last evening; 3+ hour, four course meal plus desert, Tapas dining style. The Maple Blueberry Mojitos were amazing as well. We split each of the servings shown. We had to bring most of rhe chicken home, as we were stuffed, but we still wanted to enjoy the desert.

Everything is cooked and prepared in a separate structure, then brought into the dining area. All ingredients are sourced locally and the meals are made from scratch, including even the fettuccine pasta.

Was in an area that I have not walked through in about a month, and came across these. :)

My better half had this cross stitch stretched and framed, the one that our youngest made for me when she was in grade 8. Really happy with it. Pretty special.
