What a winter it has been for us here in Ontario! Meaghan and I have been very busy supporting clients and so our posts fell off following the holidays--but now we are back and I have just posted our newest one on the website.
In this post I share brainwave entrainment information and links with you— myself and many others— have found them useful tool for self-management. This post talks specifically isochronic tones and binaural beats—simple, accessible tools that help regulate your nervous system. I break down how these approaches work, who they may benefit most, and how to try them without over-complicating things. Think of it as a low-pressure way to support your mental health—no willpower required, just a bit of curiosity.
Have a great start to spring 🌼

Therapeutic Mind-Mapping
I have been using mind-maps for decades to help myself organize thoughts, projects, and writing to name a few. For the last 10 years I have integrated mapping into my session work with clients. Therapeutic mind mapping can help turn mental chaos or feelings of being overwhelmed into clarity by visually organizing your thoughts, feelings, memories, and patterns. By seeing everything on paper, you can notice connections, spot unhelpful patterns, and we can explore new ways of responding. The map can become a personal roadmap for insight, self-compassion, and taking action in your life.
Check out my recent post and try doing your own mind-map.

The interplay between cancel culture and personal boundaries involves a tension between societal accountability and individual values & beliefs. Cancel culture aims to hold individuals accountable for harmful behaviors, allowing marginalized voices to assert boundaries against toxic actions. However, it can also infringe on personal boundaries, leading to public shaming and fear of reprisal for expressing unpopular views.
This dynamic illustrates the challenge of balancing justice and free speech, emphasizing the need for thoughtful discourse and empathy in addressing societal issues. Central to navigating and understanding the world is the ability to establish healthy boundaries effectively which are rooted in your personal values and beliefs.
