A huge thank-you to the incredible team from RBC!
As part of the RBC My Community program, the RBC Durham Commercial Team volunteered their time and spent the day with us at DENC β assembling food kits for the people we serve and giving our office a fresh coat of paint. π¨
Their energy, teamwork, and generosity made a real difference, and we're so grateful for the time and care they put in. Thank you, RBC β and especially Paul Keppen, Pratima Gupta, Ricky Chen, Huen Knox and Jennisse Murray β for showing up for Durham! π

Today we celebrate the beautiful mix of cultures, traditions, and stories that make Canada feel like home and the diverse communities we are proud to serve every day.
In recognition of World Refugee Day, weβre continuing the conversation by challenging common myths and highlighting the strength and potential behind every refugee story. There are many misconceptions about refugees but behind every label is a person with resilience, skills, and a story worth understanding.
Through this video we debunk myths, challenge stereotypes, and create space for reality. Because refugees are not defined by their circumstances, but by their courage, skills, and potential.
At the Pickering Welcome Centre, programs like Refugee Job Connections (RJC) help turn that potential into opportunity, supporting individuals as they rebuild, grow, and thrive.
Take a moment to watch, learn, and share.
