Helping and holding can look almost identical.

For a long time, I thought loving people meant making life easier for them whenever I could.

Lately, I'm learning that sometimes the kindest thing we can do is trust someone else to carry what belongs to them.

That isn't caring less.

It might actually be caring more.

This week's Best Life Simplified letter is about the quiet difference between helping and holding too much, and why stepping back can sometimes be one of the most loving choices we make.

I hope it encourages you today.

I’ve been carrying this question with me lately.

"Does it need to be me?"

Not because the task isn't important.

But because I've realized that just because something needs to be done doesn't always mean I'm the one who needs to do it.

It's a simple question.

But sometimes the simplest questions quietly change the way we live.

I'm curious...

Is there something you could gently set down this week?

07/27/2026

There was a time when I believed being dependable meant always being the one who stepped in.

If something needed doing, I did it.

If someone needed help, I offered it.

Over time, I stopped noticing the difference between caring and carrying.

This week's letter is a gentle reflection on learning that you can still be someone others count on without believing everything depends on you.

Sometimes one small question can change the way we move through our days.

The latest letter is now on Best Life Simplified.

What does being dependable mean to you?

Before the world asks for your attention, where do you give your own?

For a long time, I began my mornings already thinking about everything that needed to be done.

Over time, I discovered that the first hour of the day isn't about getting ahead.

It's about remembering who you are before the world asks you to be everything else.

This week's Best Life Simplified letter, Before the World Wakes Up, is a gentle reflection on quiet mornings, sunrise walks, and creating enough space to hear yourself before the day gathers speed.

I'd love for you to read it.

What if your ordinary life isn't something to outgrow? 07/17/2026

What if your ordinary life isn't something to outgrow? We've been taught to believe growth always looks exciting. But what if the life you're quietly building is already becoming exactly the one you were meant to live?

07/08/2026

Some seasons don't end with a dramatic decision.

They end quietly.

Almost without you noticing.

One day you realize you're asking different questions.

Your priorities have shifted.

The life you've built still has value, but you're beginning to imagine another way of spending your days.

I've learned not to rush those moments anymore.

Not every season needs to end before the next one begins.

Sometimes we're simply standing in the quiet space between who we've been and who we're becoming.

And maybe that's exactly where we're meant to be.

If you're in one of those in-between seasons, I hope this gently reminds you that you don't have to have everything figured out today.

💚 Have you ever experienced a season where nothing was wrong, but you knew something inside you was changing?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

07/06/2026

There are seasons of life we never expected to outgrow.

Places we thought we'd stay forever.

Work that shaped us.

Relationships that stretched us.

Dreams that carried us exactly as far as we needed them to.

Looking back, it's easy to wonder if we stayed too long or should have changed sooner.

But I've started to see it differently.

Every chapter leaves us with something.

Greater resilience.

Deeper compassion.

A clearer understanding of what truly matters.

Maybe the chapter wasn't meant to last forever.

Maybe it was meant to help us become the person we're now ready to be.

There is something incredibly freeing about realizing that you don't have to regret where you've been in order to embrace what's next.

✨ Sometimes we've simply become the person that chapter was helping us become.

💚 I'd love to hear from you...

What chapter of your life are you most grateful for, even though it's now behind you?

06/29/2026

There was a season when I thought I was exhausted because I was doing too much.

But if I'm honest, I was often exhausted because I was deciding too much.

What should I focus on?

What's for dinner?

Should I keep going?

Should I change direction?

The mental load of everyday life is heavier than we often admit. And when everything feels important, everything becomes a choice.

I've slowly learned that simplicity isn't about having less for the sake of less.

It's about protecting your energy for what matters most.

Some decisions can become rhythms.

Some choices can be made once.

And some things simply don't deserve as much of your attention as you've been giving them.

You don't need to optimize every corner of your life.

Sometimes the most caring thing you can do for yourself is choose less.

For a long time, I treated every month like a report card.

Were sales high enough?
Was I growing fast enough?
Was I doing enough?

Even in good months, I was waiting for proof that I was okay.

But somewhere along the way, I realized that emotional safety doesn't come from passing an endless series of tests.

It comes from trusting yourself.

From building margin.

From allowing steadiness to count.

And from understanding that a quiet, stable life is not something to apologize for.

It is enough.

✨ I stopped treating every month as a test I had to pass.

Maybe you can stop, too.
