We are creating a sweeter day in a Traditional Way!

08/25/2026

Wabanaki Maple started with creative hunches and trial and error in the kitchen. That same energy is what brought Cedar Infused back — cedar’s one of our four sacred medicines, maple sap was one of the first harvest of spring, and together they’re a perfect pairing.

One bottle, all the flavor, no complicated recipe required. A few ways we love using it:

🍁 Glazed salmon — brush it on in the last few minutes of roasting or grilling for that caramelized, smoky-sweet finish
🍁 Roasted vegetables — drizzle over carrots or squash before roasting, let it caramelize into the edges
🍁 Morning or afternoon tea — a small spoonful for something different than processed sugar

Just pour, glaze, drizzle and enjoy!

Bottled by hand, small batch, big grind — every row in this photo is proof of work most people never see.
Grateful for everyone who shows up for it.🧡

Kinda chic to be proof that there’s room at the table for all of us. ✨🪶

Rooted in culture and community, every bottle is proof there’s space for more stories like ours.

Wabanaki Maple is always happy to welcome guests through our doors — and today we had the pleasure of hosting Jacques Watso, founder of Sagamité Watso, who stopped by while attending the Neqotkuk Powwow before heading back home.

It’s especially meaningful to connect with fellow Pow Wow Pitch alumni and inspiring Indigenous entrepreneurs like Jacques — building businesses rooted in traditional foods and community knowledge.

Woliwon | Wliwni for stopping by and visiting us at Wabanaki Maple!🍁

We were gifted something special this week — Sonawi-Mahqan (“The Story of Maple Syrup”), a children’s book written by Oluwi Aubin-Bérubé as part of the Kehkimin language revitalization project.

It tells the whole story in Wolastoqey, with English alongside — the maple trees as our sleeping relatives, the first tap of the season, the sap turning to syrup over the fire.

Knowledge that goes back generations, now living in a book for the next generation to read in our own language.

Grateful to have this one on our shelf— Woliwon Tara Perley for the thoughtful gift!🍁
