Arrowview invites all Grade 6 & 7 parents and caregivers to attend an information evening designed to help support your child through this important transition.

A panel of local community partners and youth support professionals will share information about some of the realities and risks facing today's adolescents, including substance use, partying, social media, healthy relationships, consent, and sexual assault prevention.

The evening will provide practical information, resources, and strategies to help families navigate these conversations with confidence and stay connected to the supports available in our community.

We encourage all families to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with community resources as your child prepares for the next stage of their educational journey.

Date: June 18, 2026
Time: 6:00–7:30 p.m.

**DPAC Needs You!**

DPAC needs parents and caregivers to join the 2026/27 Executive Team.

A full executive ensures parent and caregiver voices are represented on important issues affecting students and families across the district.

Without a full executive, our voice won't be as strong, and families may be less aware of key School District and Board of Education discussions, decisions, and opportunities for input.

We're currently accepting nominations for:
• Chair
• Vice Chair
• Treasurer
• Secretary (one nomination received)
• Up to five Directors (one nomination received)
• Indigenous Parent Representative

No previous experience is required. You'll receive onboarding, clear governance documents, and support from the current executive team.

It is NOT a requirement for you to also sit on a PAC Executive.

📅 DPAC Executive Elections will take place at the June 17 DPAC meeting.

Shout out to our amazing staff at SES for putting on a wonderful Volunteer appreciation event today!! We loved hearing from all the students and staff, received such beautiful cards, artwork and poems, Pom poms, treats…and some very special singing from our kindergarten classes. We all felt very special, appreciated and… might be just as excited for FUN DAY next week as the students are! We love being a part of the SES community. ❤️ 🐺 🌈 ☀️ 🏫

Did you know school busing is a privilege, not a guaranteed service? School districts in BC are not required to provide transportation for students.

Let’s help our amazing Transportation Department keep this service running efficiently and keep costs focused where they matter most — in our classrooms.

If your child plans to ride the bus in September, please register now so routes and scheduling can be finalized over the summer.
