POSITION: Summer Forest-Farm Camp coordinator/teacher

Hours: 6 weeks of employment total (5 days/week)
Weeks: July 8 – August 2 & August 12 – 23 (Mon.-Fri.)

Description:
You will be joining a team of two certified Ontario Teachers who also teach our Forest School during the school year. You will assist them in offering a play-based, outdoor, all-weather program for children ages 4-8 years old.
We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, outdoor-oriented, playful teacher or "camp coordinator / outdoor educator” to join our small team. Musical and farm interests are an asset! Our programs are child-led and follow an emergent curriculum based on the children’s interests and the provocations found in nature.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a program such as Early Childhood Education, Outdoor Recreation (child-directed) or Bachelor of Education
- Current First Aid with CPR level C
- Clear criminal record check, with vulnerable sector check (can be completed upon becoming the success candidate)
- Experience working with young children and experience working in an outdoor setting
- Physically capable of working in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold) and able to walk distances over uneven terrain, carry a backpack and perform light lifting duties (firewood etc.)
- Able to perform teaching duties with enthusiasm regardless of weather conditions
- Understand the value of risky play, emergent learning philosophies and play/place based learning
- Enjoys animals, creepy crawlies and getting dirty on the farm!

A fun, happy atmosphere with the support from other mom's! Each exercise can be modified for all fitness levels.
These fitness classes are designed to safely target your pre or post pregnancy body while providing an opportunity to stimulate your baby. (You are your babies Role Model!)
We turn up the music and work together (at our own pace) for a common goal of feeling GREAT! Goodbye aches and pains! Hello STRENGTH!

The full body workouts are designed by Deb Val
(certified Pre and Post Natal Fitness)
Throughout the summer we will focus on; strength training, cardio intervals, core, and pelvic floor work.
We will incorporate the use of bands, weights, machines, and your baby! *Please bring a stroller and carrier if you have one (we have extras!)
