-do housework and run errands.
-further my pursuit of knowledge and better myself.
-hang out, eat junk food and watch soccer with Murray.

I don't think I've ever featured our True-Crime section, but it's full of great titles, like Owen Sound lawyer Brian Barries riveting account of a notorious murder trial.

Tomorrow is Murray Day! It's been five years since the best cat in the world came to live with me, and we'll be celebrating with canned salmon and sliced turkey for him, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans motor race, for me.
I'll be taking the day off but I'll be more than capably replaced by our part-time assistant and all-round Good Egg, Laura.

It's grilling season! I remember when that meant hot dogs, frozen mass-produced burger patties, and Wonder bread buns. Maybe a handful of potato chips on the side. Now, with help from books like this, it's Italian sausages, gourmet Smashburgers and grilled asparagus. That last one was for me- I love grilled asparagus! And if your goal is to grill like a 1970's hockey player, we have you covered!

My prized Thompson for Sheriff poster above a visibly ailing Commentary section. This is the section for Politics, Philosophy, and general social commentary. Books by everyone from Plato or Marshall McLuhan to David Sedaris, Malcolm Gladwell and Naomi Klein belong here. We're always looking for books for all our sections but this one is really hurting. Do your thing Grey-Bruce!

Oh bo****ks. The very British commentator for the race I'm watching is... a challenge. He makes a lot of mistakes, but the worst thing is his terror of dead air. So he talks and talks. About anything.
Earlier this year I was watching a race in the Swiss Alps(I was on my couch) that he was working and there's a thing on the screen you can click to skip forward 10 seconds. So he's blathering on about NOT THE RACE, and I hit 10 sec a few times and I get this "I really don't know how they installed those massive windows in that building." Then I hit about a minute forward and I hear "And amazingly, several of the men knew something about taking care of goats." I swear on my Mother it's true.

The thing is, those hours aren't much use to people who work until 5 pm. To make it a little easier for you, Phoenix will now be open until 5:30, except for Saturdays, and if you show up at 5:25, I won't rush you!
I still haven't broken the news to Murray that his dinner is going to be later.
