I don't look all Purdy, but I sure as heck am real!

Dare I ever imagine that one Social Media company would take credentials into consideration when choosing the "algorithm"...ok fine, we want to be entertained,
BUT I thought this was a professional platform, no?

My stack blew when I spent a very educational hour on my LinkedIn today.
Yes, even coming across an influencer who decided to get a nose job done because she didn't want to pass on her facial features to her kids...oh girl, that's not the genes I would worry about passing on.

I am exhausted with the fake sh^t, and I am not alone.
"False Profits: Where Success Lies" ..I really need to finish my book BUT I'm too busy ACTUALLY COACHING.

Beyond posting the weekly LIVES, you can find me "fighting FOR something" with content on IG or YouTube.

Good vs Real - that is what your audience is now unknowingly asking of your work, content, branding...

You start by talking about taxes, optimization, credentials, and all the things you can do for them...then you wonder why the first meeting fizzled out and felt as awkward as your Grade 7 dance.

If there is one lesson worth remembering, it is this:
Every person has a gap between their current reality and their desired reality.
Your job is not to start with the solution.
Your JOB is to understand the GAP, and emotions behind them.

When working with High Net Worth and Ultra-High Net Worth clients, that gap usually shows up in one of two forms:

The Founder
Built it from nothing.
Grit. Sacrifice. Risk.
They hold their cards close because they have spent years proving people wrong and creating something many believed was impossible.

So the question becomes:
How do you earn the trust of someone who already figured out how to build the thing everyone else doubted?
How do you help them see that the next stage is not about working harder, but about alignment with the right people, systems, and team?

The Generational Leader
A different challenge entirely.
Legacy expectations.
Multiple stakeholders.
Family opinions.
The pressure of preserving what was built while modernizing it for what comes next.
The weight is different, but the gap still exists.
This is why conversations should begin with questions like the one in the image.

Questions that encourage people to think out loud and reveal where they are today. Questions that uncover what is keeping them unsettled...because every meeting is ultimately answering only three questions:

Do I like you?
Do I trust you?
Can you help me with what matters most right now?

The moment you stop trying to prove your value and start helping someone articulate their GAP, the conversation changes...and so do your results.
