Supporting Paws Donations

Interested in supporting animal rescues, but cannot commit to long term or fostering.
Helping with fundraising efforts is an amazing way to support these animals and the individuals that care for them.
Throughout the year the rescues hold different types of fundraising events. So follow as many rescues as you can and help whenever possible.
Another easy way is for you to fundraise on your own and donate proceeds to the rescues.
Set up a donation box for animal food at your office for example.
Donate part of your garage sale earnings to a rescue in need.
All these and much more go a long way to help these animals survive.
Together, we can make a difference!

Roo is the newest member of our pack. Saturday and Sunday was the honeymoon phase, all was great! Monday and Tuesday however were refusal days! Food or water, all different bowls and flavors dry and canned, he wanted nothing to do with it.

Tuesday afternoon we figured him out!

What a better way to end the weekend than with Wishing Weekend Sunday!

My goal here is for us to help as many local rescues as possible.

Here is how you can help my 3 wishes:

* Rescues are in constant need for food donations. If you have at least 3 canned goods that would help support the care of these animals, let me know. I will be collecting them and can connect with you for pick up. Who knows maybe there will be a another Wishing Weekend draw 💕

From Safety Hazard to Safe Haven ❤️

This once-beautiful barn on our property is sadly collapsing. The three main support beams have given way right down the middle, with over 2 tons of wet straw sitting on the second level. At this point, it has become a serious safety concern.

Over the past while, we’ve been working hard to trap, sterilize, and find loving homes for the cats and kittens who were living inside. We’re happy to say we’re down to just 2 left to go! 🐾

Unfortunately, this barn is no longer safe for people or animals. Our hope is to remove it and use this space for new habitats and a large summer tortoise pen for our 7 tortoises 🐢☀️

So we’re reaching out to our amazing community here in Dunvegan and surrounding areas:

👉 Does anyone offer demolition/removal services and could provide a quote?

People asking me what I mean when I say my neighbors and I have been caring for a colony of cats?

Barn cats, working cats, feral cats, all deserve compassion and care.

When we realized our area was overpopulated with feral cats, we reached out for help. With support from Cat Rescue Network Ottawa Humane Society and our generous community we were able to humanly TNVR a good number of cats just this past year. Efforts will continue starting very soon to control the population.

Caring for our community colony takes patience, dedication, and so much support. From feeding, providing clean drinking water, ensuring all cats are still around and healthy.

It takes a village as they say, and without the generous donations for food, supplies and medical bills to name a few, this process would not be possible. If you would like to help support these efforts or one of the rescues, please reach out. Together we can ensure the safety and well-being of these amazing cats.
